SkyBox Pub & Grill is a small, award-winning sports bar located in the Sellwood district in Portland, Oregon. We cater to individuals and families by offering:
Under the current ownership of Dennis Vigna and Jim Hughes (see Owner Bios), Skybox Pub has been in business since 1999.
Established on March 17, 1999 - St. Patrick's Day - Skybox had the humblest of beginnings. We started out with one TV, rabbit ears no less. College basketball's March Madness was on, but we couldn't get cable or satellite hooked up in time. Initially, the pub's menu was hand-written with six items on it.
We have had famous sports figures grace our doorway: Neil Lomax, Pete Ward, Coach Mike Belotti (UO Ducks), Phil Knight, Tommy Sandt, and Coach Mike Williamson (Winter Hawks).
We've been nonsmoking inside since 2001. If you insist on smoking, please sit at the outside tables where you can watch the games through the window. And please clean up your butts.
Skybox nonsmoking folklore says: "You can smell your Rogue and taste it too!"
AOL CityGuide:
"A perfect combination of great sports bar, good restaurant and comfortable hang, its friendly atmosphere may make you want to stay long after the game is over."
Citysearch.com:
"Thank goodness it's off the beaten path, or it might be Portland's most crowded sports bar."
About our atmosphere:
"Skybox is smoke-free, and so sparkling clean and friendly that families often throw birthday parties here."
About our menu:
"Skybox has mastered the art of pub grub."
